Never Share Personal Information: These days people usually communicate with others on social media sites like Facebook and Skype. These social networking sites are very interesting to use and engage with people across the globe, but if not used wisely can be quite dangerous as well. Hence, always remember while using social media sites, never share your personal information such as an address, bank details, workplace, etc. with strangers.
Use Strong Passwords: It is always advisable to build a strong password containing capital letters, numbers and symbols. The password should have at least 8+ characters. It surely helps users to prevent their online accounts from hackers. Always remember that it is not easy for hackers to crack a strong password.
Update All Software: Update all your software to avoid any security concerns. Most software and applications modify their security and therefore ask for regular updates.
Use VPN: Most of us aren’t aware that when we connect to a public WiFi network any data we transmit can be intercepted. Therefore, you should encrypt your public network connection using Virtual Private Network (VPN).
Opt for Two-Step Authentication: Be very careful while using the internet. You should not share your social security number and also set up a password for accessing your devices like mobile and laptop. If there is an option then set up two-factor authentication.
